What type of dog bed should I buy?

Large and Extra Large dog beds are designed to support the weight of large breed dogs. Great Danes and Rottweilers need more support than your typical pet store bed.  Orthopedic beds have very thick medical-grade foam fill, which is designed to support the joints of older dogs or dogs with medical issues. Designer beds are luxuriously plush dog beds that have a variety of designer fabric choices. Dog Cot-style beds provide a high and dry cool spot for your dog to sleep. Flat pads or crate mats are great for dog crates and for dogs that like to stretch out when they sleep. Nesting/snuggle beds are oval shaped or cup shaped, great for those dogs that like to hide. Bolstered beds have padded sides and a center cushion filled with foam and/or recycled materials and are preferred by dogs that like the security of walls around them. Donut-shaped beds are donut-shaped bolster beds with removable center cushions. Waterproof beds are good for outdoor use and incontinent dogs or drooling Mastiffs.  Most are made with super tough tear resistant fabrics.  Hypo-allergenic beds are made of organic materials that are less likely to irritate dogs that are allergic to materials typically used to make pet beds.  Eco-friendly beds  are made of recycled materials, for the earth loving dogs that want to help preserve our planet.
